Advising

Education in archaeology combines hands-on learning in field situations, with a deep understanding of archaeological theory. Studying archaeology and preparing for a career require, however, additional knowledge and skills, ranging from navigating university politics to interpersonal communication. These can be fostered in a supportive community of practice and we aim to provide such support through our support and advise program. Below you will find contact information and a brief introduction of a faculty mentor and graduate student mentor from each of the institutions that have joined the ACC.

The ACC support and advise program provides you with a trustworthy source of feed-back on questions you might have, or problems you are facing. Undergraduate students, graduate students, recent graduates, postdocs and junior faculty are all welcome to connect.
